Famous Places in Nha Trang

Come and explore the beauty and cultural features of the land and the people of Khanh Hoa through famous tourist attractions! Below are some famous destinations and popular tours available in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa.

Truc Lam Pagoda

Truc Lam Pagoda is a pagoda complex where the dedication was held at the end of 2008 after a period of building. The pagoda is located on a mountain top of Hon Tre Island, leans on the cliff with one side overlooking Nha Trang Bay which is windy all the year. This is really a place for visitors to think about the life and wish the best things for themselves and their kindred.

Truc Lam Buddhist Pagoda is named after and worshipped in accordance with the typical Vietnamese Zen School called Truc Lam Zen founded by King Tran Nhan Tong together with 2 other eminent monks Phap Loa and Huyen Quang in the thirteenth century after King Tran Nhan Tong defeated Mong Nguyen troops. This complex is designed in architecture of Northern pagodas. The Mahayana is seldom seen in the Southern architecture, it has the curved knives, the impressive tiled roof and ancient space. The pillars, doors, walls… are all made of wood.

Truc Lam Pagoda is designed in model of an architectural complex which has a central pagoda and Buddhist houses, harem together with other Buddhist architecture. Truc Lam Pagoda has 72 statues of Buddha, Arhat and a plenty of horizontal lacquered boards, pairs of wood panels which are skillfully sculptured… The 14m-high statue of the Goddess of Mercy carved from rock, put on the top of the wave crest and overlooking the sea makes a really strong impression on the visitors.

From the Vinpearl Resort Nha Trang hotel, just open the door on the balcony and look to the left, you can see the complex of Truc Lam Pagoda and the statue of the Goddess of Mercy overlooking the sea. It takes only 20 mins for you to walk on the rocky footsteps around the mountain’s side to reach the three-door gate of the Pagoda. A spiritual space, an inclined-to-the-good space opens in front of you and deep in your heart.

It is so meaningful because when you come to Vinpearl now, you can not only rest in the fresh, sunny and windy space but also hear the sound of the bell in the pagoda vaguely from a distance every early morning or early evening, so something you sometimes forget in the hurried daily life can be waken deep in you …

Visiting time is from 07:00 am to 5:00 pm.
